Notes:: Jarvis Beal was born in Abington (Plymouth) MA on 12 Jan 1796 [Abington VR v1 p26]. He was a neighbor of both Mary Edes and Priscilla Ells. He married (1st) Mary Edes of Freeport in 1821 [Freeport VR Bk A p203], who died in 1831 and by whom he had four (prob. six?) children, who were born 1824-1830 [Freeport VR Bk B p23]. He married (2d) Priscilla Ells-Eells, by whom he has three children, Horace, William, and Isaac. (See, discussion of Priscilla.) He and his families appear the USC in Freeport (1830) and in Durham ME (1840, 1850, 1860, and 1870). He died 4 Apr 1874, ae 78y 2m 22d (Burr Cem. gravestone photo with G.A.R. flag by K.
