NOTES AND SOURCES: Charles married JEANETTE M. ABBOTT [Src: Maine state archives <http://thor.dafs.state.me.us/pls/archives/ archdev.marriage_archive.display_info?v_id=248>]. (There is also a marriage record on microfilm in state's VRs 1908-1922 that apparently givges her parents, but the 3rd gen. copy is unreadable.) She was born 1891 in Maine [1930 census]. She probably signed Charles' deed in 1920 as "Netti M." [Bk 1050 p310, Cumb. Co. Registry]. There was a divorce. After 1920, she married (2nd) John A. Hamilton of Maine. In 1930, after her remarriage, John was a laborer in the rubber industry in Akron, Ohio and she was a saleslady in a dress shop there [1930 census]. Of Portland & Akron. Jeanette's is the only marriage recorded for 1892-1922 for Charles Ells of Portland on Maine State Archives. I think this this is the same person as "Netti M." in Charles' 1920 deed. [Bk 1050 p310, Cumb. Co. Registry]. In 1930, after her remarriage, she was a saleslady in a dress shop in or near Akron, Ohio. She had one son by Charles.
