These horses are known by several names.  Gypsy Vanner and Gypsy Cob being two of the most common.  There are three registries  in the USA for these horses, and they each have specific goals and visions for these lovely horses.  And, I believe all of them care deeply about these horses.  If you wish to own your own gypsy horse, I suggest the following sites to learn more.  Visit some of the many people who now breed these horses here in the USA. You can find breeder lists at the registry web sites.  If you import, do so with someone reputable who can provide references from satisfied clients.  Do your homework before purchasing, and be prepared for a love affair for life with these intelligent, beautiful, unique and, yes, magical  horses.

Black Forest Shires and Gypsy Horses (Very nice people, very informative web site.  They brought Ranger to me and I will always be grateful!)  http://www.gypsyhorsesource.com/
