NondualismMind-body dualism vs nondualism
Neils Bohr drew a coat of arms for himself featuring the yin-yang symbol to represent the wave-particle duality of nature.
Modern researchers attemoting to distinguish the dividing line between the endocrine system and the nervous system have concluded that there is no definite boundary.[1]
Leonard Holmes writes: "The Mind and the Body are the Same Thing" :
In western cultures we have been taught that the mind is somewhere in our head and that everything else is our body. This dualism can be traced back to Descartes and his writings. This dualism can even be seen in the way health insurance is treated in the United States. Most insurance policies provide much better coverage for "physical" disorders than they do for "mental" disorders. No such dualism ever existed in eastern cultures, and the mind and body are seen as intricately connected and unified.Leonard Holmes, PHd.[6]
"Mind-body dualism is original sin." [2]
Professor Roper [3] often said that the ancient Greeks had a different model of good and evil than we are familliar with. They had, instead, the idea of hubris. An action or a person was not inherently good or bad, but actions were judged on whether the actor had the authority, rank, and abillity to carry out certain actions.
One class I took with him studied William Blake:
All Bibles or sacred codes have been the causes of the following Errors.
1. That Man has two real existing principles Viz: a Body & a Soul.
2. That Energy, call'd Evil, is alone from the Body, & that Reason, call'd Good, is alone from the Soul.
3. That God will torment Man in Eternity for following his Energies.
But the following Contraries to these are True
1. Man has no Body distinct from his Soul for that call'd Body is a portion of Soul discern'd by the five Senses, the chief inlets of Soul in this age
2. Energy is the only life and is from the Body and Reason is the bound or outward circumference of Energy.
3 Energy is Eternal Delight

Another view is to judge acts and people as to whether they display ignorance or education.
"Ignorance is the root cause of Suffering..." (Buddha, 563 BC to 483 BC)
"Socrates taught that the solution to the main problems of society is education." - (Plato 360 BC).
