On-line readers of romance converge on Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, for the second annual romance cyber-readers conference uniting active readers with romance authors including New York Times best-selling authors Dorothy Garlock, Jo Beverley, Mary Jo Putney and NEBULA nominee Catherine Asaro.

Participants will be exploring such diverse topics as "Nourishing the To-Be-Read Pile", book trends, on-line shopping, collectible books, cyber communities, starting and nurturing book groups, and the state of the publishing industry.

All sub genres of romance will be represented: contemporary, Regency, time travel, historical, paranormal, futuristic, medieval, multicultural, category and "other". This conference represents a valuable opportunity to share stories, discuss books and do real-time chat with fellow readers.

Romance books are the largest segment of paperbacks sold in the United States and represent a billion dollar market in the United States in 1997. Nineteen publishers produced 2,020 books in 1996. 1999 has seen the debut of category books on the New York Times Bestseller lists with Nora Roberts.
