Signs of Spring
Narcissus and Friends
My garden tells me it's spring. The flowers don't care that we are finally experiencing
Southern California-style winter weather. It has been cold and blustery. The sky is clear and the color of a Renaissance
painting. The sky reminds me of the skies of my childhood when pollution had not yet colored the sky grey, brown,
or orange. The freesias are filling my garden with their honey-like fragrance. If you planted bulbs in the fall, then
these flowers are poppin' in your garden beds, too: Narcissus(daffodils), anemones, ranunculus, and of course the perennial
alstroemeria (Peruvian lilies.)

Alive With Productivity
- It seems that the busier I get, the more creative and productive I become. My latest creation for the landscape is a set of matching trellises for the front stucco wall of a Palos Verdes
home. What fun I had adapting the lattice design from a classic French gate.
- Check out the photo on the right. What bliss it is
for me to use the knowledge that I gained from twenty years as a professional artist. I am in love with my life.
- I'll keep you posted as the plants are installed.
