North tower of the
Golden Gate Bridge
This photo of the north
tower was taken with a telephoto lens and the image further manipulated
in the darkroom using the "bas relief" technique. The
bas relief technique involves making a copy of the negative on
B & W film and sandwiching the resultant B & W positive
with the original color negative. The negative and the positive
sandwiched slightly out of register give this bas relief technique.
