Community / Personal / How-to Sites
Alicia's Honda Page - (Personal/How-to) Alicia's web site disappeared....
Tire Sizing Calculator - (Community/How-to) Links to tire calculators keep disappearing - if this doesn't work, just do a Google search on "tire size calculator". Want to know what sizes are comparable to your stock size? Want to compare 2 different sized tires for height/width/RPMs? This is the place to do it.
Mohawk-Hudson Region SCCA Solo II pages - (Community) The SCCA region I participate in.
HondaSociety.com's 6th Gen Accord board - (Community/How-to) Used to be THE place to hang, but the owner and the community had a fight. Everyone is moving to Honduh.com.
Honduh.com's 6th Gen Accord board - (Community) They went belly up....
hondatech - (Community/How-to) A bit dry compared to SuperHonda.org, but the people who frequent the board seem to be more serious about how-to info, so it may be better in some respects.
HondaBeat.com - (Community/News/Resources) News, reviews, resources for Honda owners and fans of Honda. CART and F1 information as well.
Racing Series Sites - "Just say NO to NASCAR"
Support the REAL racing series out there. Subscribe to SPEED Channel, and then make sure to send them an email and tell them how you want to see more of the following racing - and not all that NASCAR nonsense. Once you've watched one of these races listed below, you'll wonder how anyone can stand the NASCAR silliness of driving in circles. Seriously, send SPEED Channel an email - they DO listen to input - as evidenced by them running Japan Grand Touring Championship racing after many requests. It was awesome stuff!
World Rally Championship - World Rally Championship racing. There's nothing like small, turbocharged, all-wheel drive subcompacts (except for the Skodas) racing around amazingly rough and narrow roads all over the world. Speed Channel is worth it just for this.
British Touring Car Championship - The Brits have racing right - complex road racing using actual stock cars, not the tube chassis sheet metal frankenseins of NASCAR fame, build up the engines and suspensions honestly, and race the hell out of them. Another great series available on Speed Channel.
US Touring Car Championship - Running on a shoe-string budget, these guys produce some exciting racing. There's no comparison to our touring car series with the likes of the British and Germans, but it is a start. Make sure you support these guys if they're racing in your area! Covered in Sport Compact Car Magazine.
Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) - For you Euro fans out there, this is a great series that features Mercedes, Audi TTs, and Opels running on exciting road courses. Covered by Speed Channel.
Speed World Challenge Series - This is a great American run touring-type series, running both touring and GT cars. Real Time Racing's place to shine. Covered exclusively by Speed Channel.
Sport Compact Car Magazine - (Publication) The first issue I picked up I read 5 times. Bought it on the way to Williamsburg for in-flight reading, and I haven't been able to put it down. Written w/o the rapper lingo and bikini frenzy found in other magazines (such as Max Power - want a laugh? Check out the nearly pornographic Max Power UK site - moronic! now that the wife has left the room, I tell ya the site is ok), Sport Compact Car is great for how-to advice and interesting vehicle spotlights. I've already sent in my subscription.
Super Street Magazine - (Publication) A great magazine for the Honda/Acura enthusiast. This magazine focuses almost exclusively on Honda/Acura vehicles. Young and hip, without being stupid, it's a fun read. I'm a subscriber.
OG Racing - (Vendor) Very helpful in providing Sparco brackets!
Mach III - (Vendor) Great customer service and a nice price on Rota rims.
Autodynamic.com - (Vendor) So far so good with this site. Prices seem to be reasonable - no outright bargains, but no ripoffs either - and they deliver within a week.
AEM - Intakes, under-drive pulleys, brakes.
ACT Clutch - high performance clutches.
Clutchmasters - Lightened flywheels.
Denso Iridium - Denso Iridium spark plugs.
Injen Technology - Intakes.
Kaminari - Body kits.
Magnaflow - Exhaust systems.
Magnecor Race Wires - Spark plug wires.
Neuspeed - Neuspeed has pretty much dropped out of the 6th gen Accord market - only limited parts available now..
Random Technology - hi-flow catalytic converters.
Rota Wheels - Slipstreams available for Honda Accords - very light and low cost wheels.
Sparco - seats.
Humor / Off-beat / Opinion Sites
Beaterz.com - (Humor) This used to be a good site, but it appears that the webmaster has lost interest in keeping it up-to-date. Funny stuff, and a great place to get lost. I'm concerned, however, since this site makes fun of using colored silicon tubing to dress up your engine bay. Ummm, I'm going to do that, so it ain't funny any more. Note - this site appears to be dead, not having been updated in a year or so, but it still has funny content.
The Rice Boy Page - (Humor/Opinion) Derogatory reference that's used to describe 'posers', those who put appearance items on a car that has none of the performance to back up the look. A bit harsh, but I used some of the lessons in here to plan what I would and wouldn't do to my car. Make sure to check out the 'Hall of Shame' for humorous examples. After seeing these, I've been able to identify a few in my local area (saw a Civic TypeR the other day).
