Interlocking Safety Cover

V1412-GCS  One side Assembled V1420-GCS Supports Gel Sandwich, vertically, while pouring gels. Seals bottom edges of glass. Cast two gels simultaneously. Simple to use: 1. Align spacers at edges between glass plates with silicone foam blocks over short plate. Creating glass sandwich.   2. Applying downward pressure against spacer's sponge block, sealing the space above short plate and flushing spacer with bottom of glass sandwich.   3. Place clips in center of spacer.   4. Center glass sandwich onto casting stand, so that clips clear each side of upright. Push sandwich into silicone foam seal and under holding brackets. Vertical  Submarine Submerged duplicate gels under identical conditions in a variety of gel electrophoresis applications.   VSUB 1415 assembled with core, leads and casting stand.

Uses all 14cm combs, accessories.   Accommodates two gels: Run submerged gels under identical conditions.   Inner Core: Complete with upper buffer reservoir, positive and negative platinum electrodes, and clamping bars. Pre-cast gels with additional cores.   Sturdy Delrin® Clamping Bars: Distribute even pressure over the full length of glass sandwich.   Lower Chamber: 1/4" cast acrylic with cover, into which the core is placed onto locating blocks. Completely submerges core into buffer, leaving ample room for a magnetic stir bar.   Excellent Temperature Control is accomplished by submerging the entire gel into the lower buffer, which circulates on both sides of the gel. Optional Cooling Coils available. A magnetic stir bar can be used to assist in circulation of buffer.   T-spacers: Slotted cross bar in which spacer is attached, aligns glass plates. VSub Gel Casting Stand   Cast Gels directly on core.  Additional gels can be prepared while the main unit is in operation.    Install Glass Sandwiches to Core   Unfold swivel clamping rods   Place inverted inner core onto casting stand.   Loosen Delrin® clamping bars.   Assemble glass sandwich, applying downward pressure against spacer's sponge block, sealing the space above short plate and flushing spacer with bottom of glass sandwich.   Slide inverted assembled glass sandwiches between Delrin® clamps and the inner core past silicone foam seal to acrylic stops.

Secure Clamping Bars.   Tighten Delrin® thumb screws.   Repeat process for second glass sandwich.  Cast Gel Turn core right side up. Set core into casting stand, between adjustable locating bars. Adjust to fit snugly with silicone foam under glass sandwiches. Insert combs. Apply clamping pressure, with clamping rods, to insure a complete seal. Pour gel. Insert Core into Lower Buffer Chamber. When the gel has set. Remove core from casting stand. Place assembled core in the lower buffer chamber on locator stops. Prepare the gel for running.
