Here is an overview of the three tasks you will complete as you study issues related to the book Matilda, by Roald Dahl.

TASK NUMBER ONE:

Write a persuasive, one-page paper explaining the importance of two of the Bill of Rights (the first ten amendments).  Then, design a PrintShop brochure detailing five new amendments to the U.S. Constitution - specific to students and schools.

TASK NUMBER TWO:

Miss Honey lost both parents by the time she was five years old.  She was left to live with her mean and nasty Aunt Trunchbull.

However, Miss Honey grew up to be a teacher so she could help kids – especially kids who were less fortunate - like she was growing up.  Can you imagine living with someone like Aunt Trunchbull?

TASK NUMBER THREE:

Miss Trunchbull seems to miss her days in the 1972 Olympics.  Unfortunately, she has transfered her athletic talents to Crunchem Hall, where she practices throwing the javelin, throwing the hammer, and the putting the shot.  We are going to need to find out why she loves the Olympics so much!
