This page is reserved for exciting items in the life of me!

In my spare time I enjoy designing and coding web pages and here is a list of the ones I've done so far:

  • D. Benford > A site devoted to the musical creations of Douglas Benford of London, England. I became interested in his work after buying a couple CDs of his under the aliases Si-{cut}.db and Radial Blend. After checking the liner notes I realized one "D. Benford" was the mastermind behind them both. Then I found out these projects were only a fraction of what he was involved with -- he also records under another name (Media Form), collaborates with others under 6 different monikers, runs 3 record labels, operates a weekly club, and does remix and production work! Anyway, to my amazement there wasn't a web site that housed all this information and so I got busy.

  • Southern California IDM Event Page > The page lists electronic music events for cities in California, which are south of and include Santa Barbara. After moving to southern California at the beginning of 1998, I grew frustrated with trying to find a comprehensive list of musical events in the area devoted to electronic music (my passion if you haven't already figured out :). I knew there were a lot of things (other than the typical raves) happening in this area compared to the relative musical wasteland I came from, but I was having trouble getting the information I needed. Being on the IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) e-mail list, I realized there were at least a dozen or so people on the list who lived in the southern California area also, so I decided to create a BBS of sorts and form a collective. I gather all the info. I can on events from local papers and what-not and this info. is supplemented by other people via e-mail and then HTML-ized.

  • Swope Transmissions > A page for the radio show I used to co-host every Friday night (6-9pm PST) from Irvine, California on KUCI 88.9FM. The show was started at the beginning of 1999 with the intent on playing purely electronic music. Today this philosophy is still being followed and there is a slant towards the sub-genres of drum & bass and IDM. The site contains DJ mixes, information on how to listen over the internet, plus tons of links to sites in line with our likes. What kind of name is Swope, you ask? Well, rent the movie Putney Swope and see our inspiration.

  • ChairTronix > A page for the internet only radio show I started in the middle of 2000. No commercials or talking, just electronic music streaming in MP3 format (32 Kbps, 32 KHz) all day, every day.

I hope to soon include some photos of interesting places I've visited, my dogs and other tidbits that will captivate and amaze you. Please stay tuned for interesting new developments!
