Sailing Instructor

A class iMIGHT  be scheduled for Memorial Weekend 2009, Friday through Monday.  With sufficient interest, an on site classes brings the cost of registration down to only $115.  This saves over $300 plus travel expenses if you go somewhere else for the class.  The class is 40 hours of instruction plus homework.  It will be the most rewarding 40 hours of training you have experienced in a long time.

We will begin a short, no charge "Introduction to Sailing" course beginning sometime after Memorial Day.  Should there be further interest at the end of the Intro, we will schedule a full blown US Sailing Level 1 Class.  Please pass along this information to anyone you think might be interested.

Youth Sailing
 Summer 2009
      June 1-5 & 8-12

These are hands on, "learn to sail" outdoor camps.  Our classes are taught by certifiied US Sailing Instructors and include general skills such as weather and wind direction, boat rigging, knots & lines, rules of the road, basic sailing techniques such as sail trim and points of sail.  Boating safety is emphasized with capsize recovery, man overboard drills, swimming and common water hazards.  Class size is limited to a maximum of 20 students and enollment is on a first come, first served basis. 
 
The fee is $200 per child for members and $225 per child fo non members.
 
Lunchs and textbooks are included included.
