| Lake Geneva |

|
Lake Geneva. Home of Buddy Melges, the Porter Family and my heroes Art Larson and Jeff Doubek. Summer weekends are ruthless
on scows with lots of power boat chop. Plenty of great racing is still to be had. The coastal cruise on the SS Narut is
the best. Especially when A-Scow spectating is involved on Tuesday nights. The clubhouse is great especially on the patio
with a cocktail and good conversation.

Pewaukee. Scow Sailing Heaven. A large lake with the largest A-Scow fleet, and killer competition. Pewaukee's yacht club
features a full time professional bartender which is icing on the cake. Getting the boat in the water is the only point of
stress at regattas. The wind is fairly reliable, building in the afternoon. Pewaukee is to scows as the Yankees are to baseball,
with the exception that I hate the Yankees.

| Oshkosh on Lake Winnebago |

|
Oshkosh. Lake Winnebago is a man-made lake with unforgiving waves. The club is actually a VFW or American Legion post.
Great parties on both occassions to race there. The racing itself was more an issue of survival. Ed Clair posted an 11th
place finish in the Inland at Oshkosh.
