Place plays an important role in Watership Down. Discuss the visual images you get when reading Watership Down.

Task

Write a poem of a favorite place and create a photo essay of that place.

Process and Resource

  1. Choose a place for your photo essay.
  2. Collect your "data" by taking several digital photos that may relate to your idea.
  3. Examine your photos and select a theme.
  4. Choose one theme and several photos that support that theme.
  5. Organize your photos by determining an introduction, body, and conclusion.
  6. Write a concise, concrete, and meaningful poem to go with your photo essay.
  7. Choose a title for your essay that reflects your poem and photos.

 Project Guidelines

Use the following guidelines for completing your project:

  • Your poem and photos should match your place theme.
  • Your poem should be well-written including spelling and grammar.
  • Your photos should be well composed with good lighting and composition.
