Episode 23:
Happy 16th birthday to Ed! Here's a slap in the face from Ross, for acting like such a child, not realizing having
joined the adult world of the army means having to act like an adult, rather than running off to do things on one's own.
Winry comes to Central to visit Ed and make repairs on his broken arm, not admitting she had made a mistake in the first
place, letting Ed take all the blame for "breaking" it.
Al sulks in the corner most of the episode, meekly agreeing with whatever people say... Until Ed gets fixed and fixes
Al, who then gets all pissy about not being a real human, punches Ed in the face, jumps over the side of the building and
runs off.
Hughes gives fatherly advice to Winry during his daughter's birthday party (same day as Ed's yup!), about how men
hold their feelings in and express themselves through actions.
In this episode we learn:
-Ed doesn't like milk
-Mustang and his crew in Eastern Headquarters miss their screen time
-Al can actually lose patience and throw hissy fits
-Hughes is the man! And don't forget how wonderful his daughter is!!!
Note: we see a glimpse of Izumi Curtis and her husband at the train station where Winry looks for a "sign" from Ed (Armstrong!).
Alas, it is only the backs of their heads. What were they doing in Central, considering they don't know Ed became a National
Alchemist?
