Skunk Loach aka Botia Morleti (formerly Botia Horae)

skunkloach.jpg

Other Common Name: Hora's Loach, Cream Loach, Skunk Botia, Mouse Loach
Origin: Thailand, India
Temperature: 74-82
PH: 6.8 - 8.0
Maximum Size: 3.5 inches
Temperment: Can be aggressive towards other loach species, Beware of fin nipping of long-finned fish

Cute lil loaches and I have never seen them be aggressive toward any fish, but I posted the temperment above as this is what is commonly known. We have several in a tank with Clowns and Angels and I have yet to see an incident, in fact the Skunks seem to hang out with the clowns most of the time.

It is reported that they are also good snail hunter/eaters but I have never really seen them go after the snails, this may be because the clowns are so prolific at snail hunting and the skunks efforts are simply not noticed.
