Fish Club Meeting Results
Well I was very nervous about our turnout, and then more and more people started showing up, and we managed to have around
20 people for our very first meeting...not bad at all.
Definately the hard core fish people showed up, I think all most all of us had multiple tanks or at least wanted more. Now
the goal will be to keep the meetings informative and entertaining to attract new members and have the die hards bring in
new people. I think we are off to a good start though.

New Fish
Picked up some German Blue Rams a few days back and what colorful fish they are, very striking. Also got 2 fish that were
labeled as Angel Rams? Now they have the colors of the German Blue Rams, but the body of the fish is not near as long, in
fact in is flatter on the sides and more oval like an angelfish...hense the angel ram name. I'll post some pics, so hopefully
we can find out the real name of these lil guys.

Putting together a newsletter
More work for the fish club, a monthly newsletter...because I didn't have enough to do already! Well on the bright side, I
have most of the work already covered by having articles and fish profiles on this site. Was just a matter of adding them
to the newsletter, filling in a few gaps, write some welcome commentary and a saltwater fish profile. All in all I would say
it didn't turn out too bad for a first effort. Of course I wasn't alone in the endevour, I had my sweetheart proof the whole
thing as she is an actual editor anyway. Not sure she really wanted to spend her weekend time doing the same thing she does
at work, but she probably didn't want my mistakes in print, so she didn't complain once. Check it out in PDF at http://www.desertfishclub.com
and select newsletters from the menu.
