VEHICLE DAY IS A GO!
Despite the downpour,
families turned out in droves for the annual event that has seen rain only once
before in its 20 year history. This hands-on opportunity for kids sparks young
imaginations to no end! More
profoundly, the presence of police and fire officials ensure a first
experience with safety officers is positive. One firefighter noted that
his department is glad to
participate because often the children they attempt to rescue day to day are
fearful of them. Vehicle Day helps
educate young kids that the men and women in uniform are trusted
helpers. Immense thanks to the
