EASA Architecture (formerly The Ellis A. Schoichet AIA Design Studio) specializes in providing creative architectural design services with unwavering attention to detail in design, service, and execution.

Each EASA Architecture project consists of a unique combination of Client needs, desires, program requirements, and site specifics. In every case EASA Architecture works tirelessly to reveal the opportunities that arise from this singular convergence of Client, Project, and Site. EASA Architecture operates on the premise that these opportunities will be the foundation from which a successful design solution will rise. For us there is no such a thing as a "typical" client or a "cookie-cutter" project.

Our goal is to achieve the highest possible level of design quality and responsiveness as we provide services tuned specifically to our Client's individual needs.

Prior to starting his own design consulting practice in 1992, Ellis A. Schoichet AIA worked as a design architect with architectural firms in New York City, San Francisco and on the Peninsula. Ellis' architectural experience is wide-ranging and includes institutional, R&D, industrial, high-technology, medical research, retail, commercial interiors and ADA accessibility projects. Ellis also has extensive residential architecture experience in San Mateo, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Marin, and Alameda Counties. He has had primary responsibility for the design and execution of new single and multi-family housing as well as additions, remodels and restoration projects.

From 1996 to 1998 Ellis acted as Director of Green Building Services for GTek, a San Francisco based consulting firm specializing in improving the environmental and financial performance of buildings. Services provided spanned a broad spectrum from planning for sustainability in large projects, to detailed evaluation of building materials and systems.

Ellis earned a Master of Architecture degree from the Graduate School of Architecture and Planning at Columbia University in New York City (1983) where his studies focused on architecture, urban design, and real estate economics. He studied as an undergraduate at the University of California at Berkeley's College of Environmental Design where he graduated with honors in Architecture (1978).

Ellis A. Schoichet AIA has been a licensed Architect in the State of California since 1985.
