Blue Earth Studios

Original Art by Laura Z "Earthpainter"

Featuring "Earth Paint": hand-crushed minerals and gemstones are the sole source of brilliant color and texture in a variety of acrylic polymer media.

A modern twist on an ancient idea: where cave painting meets canvas.

These paintings derive their color from stones like Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Jasper, Sodalite, Calcite, Turquoise, Marble, Amethyst, Garnet, Ruby and many other  gemstones and minerals I have collected locally here in the mountains of WNC, known worldwide as the "Gem Capitol of the World" (Franklin, NC)
