April 24, 2008 - WESTFORD Eagle - Letter: Recommends Valerie Wormell for re-election

I strongly recommend Valerie Wormell for re-election to the Board of Selectman.

Valerie, has, during her three year term, displayed a level of leadership that is needed to manage the challenges the Town of Westford now faces. She has dealt with large issues, such as the bridge in Forge Village, Abbott oil spill, Town hall structural failure, and now the search for a Town Manager. While dealing with these issues, she has always found time to respond to smaller neighbor issues, such as water problems in Graniteville and Nabnassett, with timely responses and offering creative solutions to the residents’ concerns.

Valerie has gained a solid three years of experience, while serving her fist term, and provides a very important element of balance to a Board, that is responsible to all of the residents of Westford.

As I serve as the Veterans Service Officer for the Town and approach the Board of Selectman for participation in both Memorial and Veterans Day, Valerie has always supported the Veterans with her presence, and speaking on behalf of the Board of Selectman.

Valerie has exhibited the desire to serve her Town in a professional and caring manner that will be difficult to replace.

I urge you to support her on Tuesday, May 6 with your vote.
