As a member of Team In Training, I ran two marathons, and raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. More information
My dissertation is available in PDF , Postscript , and DVI .
I received my B.A. in Mathematics in June 1995, from UC San Diego.
I have written a large Java program to do computations with modular lattices. You can view the code and documentation here .
Here's my favorite lattice theory question: Is there a nontrivial lattice that is not generated by the union of two proper sublattices? Please email me if you know the answer. Here's what I know about this question.
I'm a regular contributor to the On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences. I consider this to be my most significant contribution. Recently I've been interested in the arithmetic progressions of numbers with the same prime signature.
I like parties where I can do a dozen different dances in one night, such as waltz, foxtrot, tango, Viennese waltz, cha-cha, rumba, samba, salsa, East Coast swing, West Coast swing, hustle, and nightclub 2-step. So I don't often go to swing parties or salsa clubs.
I also play piano, read books, and listen to a lot of music.
