For 2006, the Bits And Pieces team has gone with an aluminum KB
Olds. Measuring 477 cid, with a 6-71 Littlefield retro blower at 36% overdrive, ET's should be in the low 7 second range.
This above photo shows the first mock up of the body with the completed engine. Car was the former Rubber City Thunder Monza
campained by Dennis Salzwimmer from Akron OH

Getting ready for the first fire up of 2006. Hoping to be out testing the first week in June. All
went well, a couple small items that needed attention, but a success. This thing sounds ALOT different than the small block!
Stripping the 14 coats of paint using chemical stripper, putty knives and LOTS of patience

The next few photos show the car finally track ready on Memorial Day Weekend. ET updates to follow
soon!

The below 7 photos are from our first test sessions in 2006. We made some 300-400' passes the first
week. Track was very cold, air temp was 55-60 degrees. The following weekend we made 3 straight passes, with the best being
a 7.76 @ 173 mph. This is the same ET as the small block, but we're only producing 8 psi of boost at this time. In the next
couple weeks we'll get her running below the 7.50 range, hopefully.
