New BusinessQ Why are the frames purchased by the Senate for use in Wissner Hall now in the front hall?
A The frames will be moved to Wissner Hall within the next month.

Q Why can't students sit on lockers?
A Lockers are meant for storage.
Schedule PhilosophyThis issue was not discussed due to the absence of its sponsor
Budget Request FormDraft budget request forms had been distributed to Senators at the January 15 meeting.
Motion (12):To adopt the January 15 draft as the Senate budget request form.
  1. The Senate could form an allocations committee
  2. The Senate will have complete control over which applications are accepted.
  3. Another form will be drafted and will be considered to replace the one being discussed.
The motion passed (6-5, one abstention)
BasemontThere was a question about the status of the climbing closet being constructed in Basemont
  1. Construction of the closet is in the prospective budget, but has been deferred for the past several years.
  2. The closet would provide a free-time activity for students
  3. The closet may increase interest in the Wilderness Program
  4. This project is of a nature that student initiative could make it happen.
  5. The project requires additional publicity
  6. There may be liability issues
