The Senate discussed the possibility of having music in the commons. It was stated that the questions of volume and type of music would make the issue
logistically difficult.
The effectiveness of the Senate was discussed. It was pointed out that few non-Senators attend Senate meetings. The relationship of Senate discussion to
Open Forum discussion was addressed. The Senate brainstormed ways to encourage non-Senators to bring ideas and opinions before the Senate.
Discussion took place on the possibility of having vending machines at the school. It was suggested that proceeds could go to charities or school
organizations. The Senate discussed the effect vending machines could have on the commons. It was suggested that food from the commons be resold
on the upper campus.
