Senate minutes for Wednesday april 25, 2001
Minutes ratified; one abstains

Carpool suggestions were given to DW [Transportation Coordinator] for review.
This week we are previewing a video on drinking and driving in order to decide if we think this system will be a good one to implement.
student senators brought back class responses to the letter from the faculty and the resolutions to the last day of school
the freshmen reported that they are pretty confused on the whole subject.
the seniors reported that they are pretty opposed to the whole idea of changing class day and that they have a pretty low morale because they've been hearing “no” all year. They feel as if senate cannot do anything.
We discussed reactions to the senior feelings, and what effects a possible senior boycott might have on the day. A lot of underclassmen might follow.
Point was made that class day is not only for students but for faculty too.
