The telescope that put the "P" in portable

A very portable 6-inch telescope that fits under an airline seat.
In the December 2002 issue of Sky & Telescope appeared an article on 6-inch travelscopes. Reading it made me wonder if I could build a telescope more portable than the ones featured in the article. Using AutoCad I endeavored to design a practical 6-inch, f5 telescope that would occupy a minimum amount of space when disassembled. The result is the Porta-Dobby pictured above. The telescope, two eyepieces, a collimator, and a red LED light fit in the 12"x 12"x 4" box shown below.
