And this is a...We're not sure what this animal is. From our viewpoint, it looked like a weasel, though it's been suggested that it might be a seal or sea lion. It definitely had legs and a tail. As we watched it move in and out of the water seeming to eat something, I tried to get a good picture, but this is the best I could do. A minute or so later, when I had already put away the camera, a large bird flew down toward the log to which the critter had moved. I thought it was one of the many seagulls that are always in the area. There was a sudden commotion as the unknown critter dived into the water, narrowly avoiding the talons of a bald eagle! |
