Welcome to my online portfolio! All of the work shown is original, of course--designed, illustrated, and/or created by myself. I have been doing online design for more than 5 years now. I've been working for a rather large software company in the area (hmm... which could that be?) during that time, doing both multimedia design and web design. I use an Apple Power Macintosh both at work and home. The program I predominantly use is Adobe Photoshop.
I graduated in 1992 with a graphic design degree from Western Washington University. I've always been artistically inclined and have always loved drawing (we're talking since as soon as I could hold a pencil!) Although I was blessed with a natural talent, I'd like to credit my high school art teacher, Lee Bogle, with teaching me valuable new drawing techniques. I'd also like to credit my instructors at Western for their in-depth study of graphic design, and for introducing new illustration styles to me. I enjoy graphic design because it requires visual skill and creativity, as well as logical thinking. Graphic design to me is like solving a puzzle. It is very satisfying to complete an aesthetically pleasing design--and to have that design be not only aesthetically pleasing but functional as well. I enjoy web design a lot. I've created a few freebies for those of you who are creating sites of your own. Feel free to take what you want from this section (and this section only.) I hope to continue expanding this section!
