Well I couldn't very well have a web site without all sorts of trivial information about myself that no one else really cares about, could I? So... hello! Please allow me to introduce myself: I am Jim Dunlap. I'm a pretty simple guy. I like sports, music, and beer just like any other guy. But my passion is drawing. I looooove to draw. Don't make nearly enough time for it now, though. But I have an art-related career so that is a good thing. And oh, guess what it is that I do? Yep: web design. I went to Western Washington University and majored in graphic design. And then I promptly began working as a contractor at a rather LARGE software company here in the Seattle area... Hmmm... any ideas what that might be? And that is where I have been working ever since.
I also enjoy working out. There's no feeling like gripping dumbbells in each hand and pushing out the frustrations of the day. Another releasing activity is karate. But unfortunately I did not keep that up after college. I like, hiking, camping, and just being outdoors. Well... when you've got the mountains, trees, and lakes that we have in Western Washington you tend to feel the need to take advantage of it. Oh, but it really does rain here ALL the time--so don't move here, you wouldn't like it. Really. Other activities I enjoy? Well let's see... computers & computer graphics, collecting and listening to CD's (I'm a rocker--can you believe it?!), working out, running, soccer (I play and coach), basketball, tennis, beer, being in the sun, going to concerts, going to Sonics (Go Sonics!!) and Mariners games, watching Sonics (Go Sonics!!) games on TV, sitcoms (the FEW good ones like Seinfeld), animals (I have one cat: Munchkin), Discovery Channel nature shows, travelling, sailing, the ocean, movies, and just hanging out with friends. And I love driving my Honda del Sol VTEC. If you see a little black streak flying by on the highway... maybe that's me. My other passion would be my wonderful girlfriend, W. She is the most beautiful, sweet, caring, thoughtful person I have ever met. I also have a wonderful family--two great parents and two great sisters. So where does "Dunny1" come into play? Yes, it's just a nickname. A couple of friends of mine started calling me Dunny in college. Much later I recall saying something to my dad about that and he told me that his grandfather (my great-grandfather) used to be called Dunny. I thought that was pretty cool!
