DE:TGD Nominated for a British Fantasy Award
I recently received the good news that DEAD EARTH: THE GREEN DAWN has been nominated for a British Fantasy Award. Mark Justice
and I appear on the "long" list of authors whose novellas are eligible for this prestigious honor. It's nice that

THE BOOK OF LISTS: HORROR
I'm happy and proud to announce that I'll have a list included in THE BOOK OF LISTS: HORROR, compiled and edited by Amy Wallace,
Del Howison and Scott Bradley. This great book is coming out in September 2008 from Harper Paperbacks and will be available
anywhere fine books are sold. Among many other horror folks with a list in the book will be Stephen King, Eli Roth and Ray

The Latest News
It looks like my story "The Cacto Skeleton" will appear in the Winter 2008 edition of PS Publishing's PostScripts magazine.
If this changes, I'll let you know. Otherwise, look for it then. It's a great magazine and I'm proud to have a story in it.

DEAD EARTH Progress Report
Hello there. Thanks for checking in.
I should be receiving the signature sheets for DE:TGD any time now. After I’m
done signing them, they go back to PS Publishing in England. Hopefully we’ll see publication
by the end of the year. That’s the plan anyway. Be sure to pre-order your copy at one of the links below. Or go to the “book
store” on this site.
I’ve been pecking away on a novel and I just sent out another short story.
I have a few of those floating around right now. I don’t write shorts unless a great idea hits, then I try to get it down
on paper. Otherwise, it’s all about novels for me. Writing short stories is a nice change of pace though.
I’ll keep you posted as things develop.

Welcome to the new site. It isn’t much, I know, but I’m glad you’re here to
visit.
If you had a link on the old site and were reciprocating links with me, go
ahead and take mine off yours if you feel like it. I won’t be having a links page here any time soon.
Books: We are still waiting for signature sheets for our small press zombie
novella: DEAD EARTH: THE GREEN DAWN. I’m told we’ll have them in April. Check out the links on this site to pre-order the
book.
My sword and sorcery novella HEARTS AND SOULS will no longer be published in
the BLADESPELL anthology because the publisher has closed down. I might send the tale to someone else; it’s not going to be
easy to get something like this published but you never know.
Otherwise, I started writing a dark urban fantasy novel, and it seems to be
going well.
