A note from Dennis (1/05/2012) - CAROLINA SONSHINE is still in the rebuilding mode. I have spent a great deal of time in prayer seeking God’s direction for this ministry over the past few months. At this time I still feel that His direction is to continue. I have also asked that the right people be put in place for that continuation. At the October 2011 IBMA WOB I met some great folks who have a long history in the Southern Gospel field but want to play bluegrass. I do not believe our meeting was by random chance.

I have not sought any bookings for the 2012 season. My plan is to get in the studio with the “new” CAROLINA SONSHINE and work on a recording. I am also still working on my new solo project featuring the autoharp and Carter Family music. I would like to have both completed no later than the fall of 2012. With a new  CAROLINA SONSHINE album we’ll be able to introduce our new sound. I hope to be able to appeal to both the bluegrass and southern gospel fans with the new band and the new project.

Please continue to visit the website for updates. Keep telling your favorite bluegrass promoters that you want to see CAROLINA SONSHINE on their stages. And continue to support CAROLINA SONSHINE by praying for God’s will to be accomplished in and through the band. The mission remains the same. Our mission is to share the light of God’s Son through music.

CAROLINA SONSHINE proudly endorses GHS Strings, Cedar Creek Custom Cases and V-Picks  CAROLINA SONSHINE is available for your church singing, homecoming, bluegrass festival or any family oriented event where bluegrass gospel music is enjoyed.
