We finally got into Kansas City International Airport at 9:00am, after being on a plane for almost 13 hours. We all looked like homeless people, but we were very happy to be home. What was even better was seeing my husband there with my two 4-legged children; this was the most wonderful way to end my wonderful trip!

Today I saw God in my husband’s face and my little doggie’s joy in seeing me. The happiness that radiated from them was indescribable. Thank you Lord for bringing me home safe!

Final Thoughts:

As I try to put my finals thoughts in writing I’m reminded of so many things I’m grateful to God for. The opportunity of being able to travel all the way to Talcahuano, Chile to build a church is just a treat in itself.
A group of 48 dedicated people (20 adults, and 28 college/high school students) gave up their spring break, unselfishly, to travel for 9 hours by plane followed by 8 hours by bus to get to this small town and build a church. The church member’s gratitude alone was pay back for us. The church building turned out beautiful, just as we pictured in our minds. The communion service and the baptism on Sabbath sealed the rest of the time for us.
