Well this is it, our final day at the worksite. We were done today by 4:00pm. The building is 95% completed. Just a few more little things here and there and presto the church is done. Within the next 2-3 weeks the church will be 100% completed. The rest of the project will be finished by real Maranatha workers.
Our part is DONE!

It was a great feeling to be done. It was kind of sad to leave the worksite for the last time but it was also a great feeling knowing what we accomplished. We worked 9 days out of 11.

All and all it was a great project to participate in. We’re all tired, but very pleased. This building is beautiful and to be able to worship here is going to be even greater.

So for now, goodbye to the worksite. Tomorrow we’re heading to Santiago for some well deserved fun and shopping.

Today I saw God in the completion of the church building. A lot of the church members were there to see us off and they were crying. They thanked us over and over, they were so grateful and so excited about their new temple. Praise God! Hopefully we’ll see them again someday, if not here, in heaven.

I’m glad to have been a part of this project. At first I didn’t want to leave Scott behind, but, I came so that Ariel and I could have this experience together. Although it took some sacrifices in time away from family and the comforts of home, at the end of the day, I’m the one who gained the blessing. We gave these church members something that they have wanted for a long time. It was all worth the sacrifice and the sore muscles for this one moment.

So for now, goodnight!
