Jevon stared out the window of the Elementalist HQ, to the eye-catching beauty below. The trees surrounding the base
bordered a large plain filled with flowers of all varieties and colors. It was hard to believe that this would be the latest
battlefield of the war. It would soon be no more than the other burned-out deserts that now dotted a number of Elementalist
and Formationist controlled planets. Overall, the Elemenatlists were starting to lose ground. Two systems had fallen in the
last six months, over twenty million beings at the mercy of Derrick, overlord of the Formationists. The thought of it forced
Jevon to turn away, and return his thoughts to the battle plan Codee and the rest were designing.
Codee walked
up to the holo-map that dominated the table that the leaders sat around. Pressing a command into his data pad, numerous points
appeared in various colors along the forest's edge. "Here are the troop placements we have worked out so far. The First
wave squadrons will consist of fire, electric, and steel Elemenatlists. They are to concentrate their fire on the commanders
of the units in these two areas". Two areas appeared in red. "This will Keep the initial losses low, as well as
divide the Formationist forces in half. They are then to retreat to the designated retrieval coordinates."
Jevon
then stood up. "The second wave squadron will consist of ice, psychic, and stone elemenatlists. They will attack these
areas after the first squadrons have retreated". More dots popped up, these in orange. "Being already weakened by
the first wave, they should be easy to scatter the remaining Formationists across the battle field. The grass and water Elementalists
will be in position at the rear of the field for medical and long-range fire. Additionally, some will be flying a small group
of Omega-class fighters to destroy any vehicular and air support troops or reinforcements, whichever the case may be. Any
questions?"
David touched his pad and raised his hand. "Codee, I suggest we add an additional second-wave
group, to concentrate fire on the far right side, as to take control of the far side of the field. We can then attack with
a vicious cross-fire and take the field faster."
Jevon added it to the battle schematic. "Good idea David,
thank you. Now, are there any volunteers to command the units?"
Both David and Melissa stood up. Jevon added
their names to the list on his console. "David, you will lead first squadron, and you will command the second wave Melissa.
This briefing is dismissed. Return here at ten-hundred hours for final preparations."
