Linzzie Lee Dooley (b. 24 June 1878 Dallas Co., Texas d. 19 Nov.
1955 Dallas Co., Texas ) The Dallas City Directories list him as:
Collar Maker for Speer, Steinman & Wolf (1902), Leather Cutter
(1903), Clerk for the Dallas Morning News (1905). By 1931 he owned
"Dooleys Dairy" which was located on Samuel Boulevard. He is buried
at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
Kate Rowan Benning (b. 29 Aug. 1884 Mississippi, d. Sept. 1968 Dallas
Co., Texas) The Dallas City Directory lists her as a Finisher at the
Dallas Cotton Mills (1903).
Interestingly enough, in the 1903 Dallas City Directory, Kate is
listed as a boarder at her fathers house at 188 Cockrell
Avenue. Linzzie is also listed as a boarder there...and they were
married November 25, 1903 (Vol. W, Page 271, marriage records, Dallas
Co., Texas)
Their children were: Esther, Milton, Margaret, Morriss Shepherd,
Katherine Anna, and Norman.
