Astrophotos

- Location: Mount Pinos, CA
- Date: April, 1997
- Subject: Leo and Mars
- Exposure: Single 15 min exposure
- Lens: Nikkor 50mm lens at f/5.6
- Mount: Fixed tripod
- Guiding: none
- Film: Fuji 100
- Comments: This shot was taken the second time I visited Mount Pinos. During the exposure I slowly defocused the lens as the stars trailed across the frame. This gives the stars a comet-like appearance and highlights thier colors. The bright objects in the lower left corner is the planet Mars.
