- Comments: The first night was fantastic for photography, the second night wasn't such a good night for photography. Lots of high cirrus. The Cocoon Nebula is an interesting object. It's somewhat faint and lies in the end of an extended portion of some dark nebulosity. I have yet to view the cocoon through a telescope but it shouldn't be difficult with
a medium sized scope. The dark nebulosity in the area is visible in binoculars..
