The most right way to spell this is lao shr, but the reason i leave and use the spelling like this is
to remember my dear friend and brother martial artist Sigung Hasting Albo who passed away on valentines day in a car
accident. He spelled Lao shr, lao xie the term is more of a helpful guide than a master.
Healing, teaching and transformation in general is not about how important or what rank the teacher is or how special
or great or unfallable the art is... its about the student/patient and their transformation. This is why my preference
of Lao shr is used instead of sifu, Sigung or master
