Sifu seems genuinely rewarded by sharing his knowledge and skill. I have never experienced such a martially loving bridge to spiritual teachings. His kung fu is literally spiritual kung fu.. physical illustrations of taoist principles. Its so tangable i feel that i can reach it. Sifu can beakdown and explain the seemingly unexplainable. He nourishes my intellect so that it will leave and let me enjoy the training..

Learning and training with Chris will take you to a new level. Period. The amount of details you learn, you just can't find in a book. In fact, some things you'll learn, many other instructors don't know and aren't even aware they exist. Some say he is the source of a lost, secret art which might have been lost. I have learned a lot from Chris, and I have also practiced and learned with him in Martial Arts and Healing. Chris is an amazing teacher. Each lesson is full of forms and techniques that utilize every part of the body. Watching him demonstrate them is such a treat. Especially when he makes it look so graceful and effortless. Sincerety is the key. And you can definitely sense that as he transmits the knowledge to each of his students.

I had a terrible pain in my shoulder and was told by a chiropractor that I had a torn rotator cup. He treated me with chiropractic and rekki with no relief. I then went to an orthopedist who told me I had a slipped disc. He gave me prescriptions and sent me to physical therapy. The pain never went away. One of Chris' students works near me and suggested I try chi kung. I felt that I had tried everything else so I might as well try this too. I didn't have any belief or disbelief in the practice, I just wanted the pain to be gone.
Since then, the pain is gone, as well as many other physical and psychological ailments. I had no idea that Chris could heal the energy between me and mother giving me a relationship with her that I have never experienced before. Chris also helped me with my panic attacks, miscellaneous body ailments, and my emotional well-being. Healing without narcotics. What a concept!
I continue to see Chris periodically and often recommend him to others. Most people find it hard to believe that someone can heal with energy. I don't need to understand how or why it works, I just know that it works.

shifu Matsuo style of teaching is so awesome! The material and drills are fun and everything is so simple yet extremely hard at the same time. I love how Shifu incorporates every facet of each exercise, like the internal benefit as well as the external. He is very thorough!-Michelle

Sifu Christopher Lee Matsuo is one of those few instructors that teach the essense of the art. He teaches those principles that elevate the martial aspect into an art and explains why forms are designed the way they are. I have all of his videos and each one has added something important to my understanding of martial arts in general.
