For a great read on how massage affects the the Mind & Body Connection click here
There is a Mind and Body Connection during massage. The benefits of massage extend beyond the physical. Massage
is unique in that it provides tangible stimulation through touch. Touch is our first sensory experience and remains, along
with smell, the most immediate and evocative link between mind and body.
Massage releases chronic tension, improves circulation, increases flexibility, and reduces mental and physical fatigue.
Additionally, a professional massage is one of the most effective means available to combat stress. Massage is 100% natural,
and a simple, revitalizing pick-me-up that feels great and promotes health. Steve Dyviniak, MS, LMT, is the owner of Springville
Therapeutic Massage, L.L.C., specializing in relaxation, stress reduction, and pain management.
Steve graduated from the New York Institute of Massage in 1997, and is licensed to practice in New York State
and elsewhere, having passed both New York State and the National Massage Board exams. Additionally, he is a Reiki Master
(Usui Shiki Ryoko), a member of the of the New York Institute of Massage Advisory Board, a member of the New York Institute
of Massage Alumni Association since 1997, maintains Professional Memberships with The National Certification Board for Therapeutic
Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB), and Associated Bodyworks and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
His post-graduate training
includes: Hot Stone, Myofascial release (deep tissue), Carpal tunnel, Orthopedic and Pain Management, Reiki, Ayurvedic Massage,
Reflexology, Advanced Myoskeletal Techniques and more. He's grateful to have trained with the best of the best,...three members
of the USA Olympic Massage Team and is is well schooled in advanced Asian massage and bodywork techniques, offering a fusion
of Eastern and Western wisdom. Committed to Life Long Learning, he has logged 100's of hours of post-graduate training to
provide first class holistic and emerging massage techniques for the 2,000 plus clients that have graced his massage table
or chair for the past nine plus years. His clients say he defines the true meaning of therapeutic massage and his years of
experience are an e-mail or phone call away.(Steve doesn't do "fluff",...if you seek that, you should have a purring cat on
your lap). And this is what sets him apart and above the others. Hands listen,...experience cannot be taught.
Steve
is also available at the Inn at Holiday Valley (Ellicottville, NY) on Fridays, for all Four Seasons. Below are some examples
