Children and Manchester Terriers
It is entirely possible for Standard Manchester puppies and toddlers to coexist. However, we would
rather not put our puppies in most homes with very young children. This is for the protection of both the
child and the puppy. Standard Manchesters are small puppies and need to be handled gently. It is the rare child
who is capable of interacting properly with a small breed puppy. On the other hand, the Manchester puppy may misunderstand
the behavior of a toddler and see the child as a littermate rather than a "small human."
