My, how he did love that baby!

My Sweet Toby - doomed by a veterinary hospital in Missouri who chose to treat his symptoms instead of operating to remove the cause of his spinal injury.  They treated with steroids and pain meds.and crate rest.    He was doiing better until: Five weeks later, very suddenly, he was completely paralyzed with only a 5% chance of recovery.  They said "You don't know. Maybe it was a different injury." That is so very true. I didn't know and they didn't know. They didn't know because they never even did a single diagnostic procedure to determine if crate rest would have been beneficial. They did nothing to help my boy. He passed to Rainbow Bridge in my arms on March 31st, 2006.

If his death is to have any meaning, this veterinary hospital must change its protocol and treat spinal injuries quickly and aggressively.    Please, please!  He can't have died in vain.
