The October 10, 2007, Meeting at McDonald’s, 19200 Bear Valley Road, Apple Valley, California, was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by President Doug Nesmith.

The following fourteen members and guests were present: President Douglas Nesmith, Treasurer Conrad Fauver, Pat Lyons, Colleen Rodriguez-Gil, Alexa Gil, Isabel Gil, Rich Norton, John Hanson, Doug Arnold, Sara Arnold, Mary Zinser, Thomas McDonald, Carole M. Jaquez, and Secretary Aileen Alves.

Minutes: The September 12, 2007, minutes were approved as corrected to “2 gigs Hz” in the
Announcements section. The Treasurer‘s report of $823.58 was approved as read.

Announcements: President Doug reported on an international pod-cast convention recently held in Ontario, CA. He also demonstrated helpful, special effects unique to his new iPod Classic., but not available on earlier iPods.

Old Business: With a secretarial candidate now available, the nomination and election of 2007-2008 SMUG Officers was moved up to this present October meeting. The following officers were elected: President Douglas Nesmith; Vice President Colleen Rodriguez-Gil; Co-Treasurer Pat Lyons; Co-Treasurer Sheila Breshears; Secretary Sara Arnold, Co-Secretary Aileen Alves. Installation of officers was moved up to the opening of the November 14, 2007, meeting.

New Business: It was moved by Secretary Aileen Alves, seconded by President Doug Nesmith, and unanimously passed that the following three 2007-2008 Elected Officers be allowed to sign the group’s checks: The President Douglas Nesmith, the Co-Treasurer Pat Lyons, and the other Co-Treasurer Sheila Breshears. One signature shall continue to be allowed on a check.

Program: President Doug Nesmith showed and demonstrated various cameras and equipment along with the diverse software that enables them to operate efficiently.

Computers were brought by Pres. Doug Nesmith and Mary Zinser.

Meeting was adjourned by President Doug Nesmith at 8:47 P.M. for networking.
