We here at Radio Free Kudzu promise that your order will be processed quickly and efficiently. We also
strive to make extra-sure that the sound quality {SQ} ratings listed on this website accurately represent the nature of the
sound on the CD-R in question. Painstaking efforts have been in place to make sure that every CD-R listed here has not only
been listened to, but carefully critiqued by more than one person before an accurate sound quality rating has been assigned.
In the past I have run across people who assign two grades to concert CD-Rs: "Soundboard" and "Audience"; implying that if
the source of the sound is from a soundboard, the disc must sound good. Well, I have heard many "Soundboard" recordings that
are terrible. Also, I have heard many "Audience" recordings that sound really good. Instead of applying two ratings to sound
quality, we here at Radio Free Kudzu have applied five: poor / okay / good / great / excellent. When this is combined with
pluses and minuses, this creates fifteen different ratings to describe the sound quality contained on the CD-R in question.
For example: a disc might merit an {SQ} rating of "great" or perhaps "great+" or even "excellent-". On top of this, YOU can
order for only $1.00, a sample CD-R which randomly samples songs from many of the concerts listed here. You can listen to
a song, and look up the {SQ} rating. Compare different songs/concerts and {SQ} ratings. I cannot think of any other R.E.M.
website that goes through this much trouble to let you know how your CD-Rs will sound before you even trade.
