I am next to a full size model of the Mars Pathfinder lander. This room was next to the "Testbed" where all commands were tested prior to sending them to the spacecraftt This working model of the lander was used to verify that both the lander and the rover did what we expected them to do.
At home in Long Beach, I run 100 watts to a Cushcraft R-7 vertical.
I often operate from W6VIO, the JPL Amateur Radio Club. Here are some of the antennas. On the left is the 40 meter 2 element yagi stacked on top of a triband yagi for 10, 15 and 20 meters. The 160 meter dipole is in the middle of the picture, and the base of the 80 meter delta loop can be seen on the lower right.
Madera County contacts were made using these antennas. This is a sunrise just before one of the DX contest weekends. On the left is a KT34XA Triband yagi up 65 feet (with 40/80 meter dipoles coming down from it), and to it's right is a 20 meter 5 element monoband yagi up approximately 100 feet.
