The Alexander Technique helps you to develop skills and tools to:

*Reduce Stress in daily life.

*Regain natural posture and coordination.

*Alleviate pain from old injuries.

*Prevent sports and workplace injuries.

*Create workplace comfort while standing,

sitting, or working all day at the computer.

*Improve performances for actors and musicians

People often develop patterns of holding and tension in both movement and rest, resulting in physical pain. The Alexander Technique is a century-old process of developing self-awareness of this kind of stress.

With Alexander lessons, you will find the way to let go of tension, leading to lightness, balance and health. Dory is an excellent teacher and will help anyone who has physical pain or discomfort due to old injuries, poor postural and movement habits, and stress.

If you work long hours with computers, Dory can teach you to reduce and prevent neck, back and shoulder pain, repetitive stress injuries, and carpal tunnel syndrome...all without expensive ergonomic equipment.

The Alexander Technique has historically been used by performance artists. In the lessons, Dory helps athletes, martial artists, singers, dancers, musicians and actors improve their performances. Dory will help anyone who wishes to regain their flexibility, strength, fluidity and grace!

Dory Steinmetz is a graduate of the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles. She has completed a three-year, 1,650-hour course of training in Alexander Technique and is certified by the American Society of Alexander Teachers.
