HAINES COLLECTION Haines...where the Inside Passage connects with the Alaskan Highway. Haines has incredible and inspiring scenery of tiny, colorful harbors and towering snow capped mountains which slowly unfold along the Chilkoot and Chilkat Inlets of the Lynn Canal Waterway. Each Summer Haines becomes a stopping off place for us to camp, fish, and paint for a few weeks before traveling into Alaska's Interior. Each year I develop new views of the area and always do a scene of the Letnikof Cove Cannery with a backdrop of the impressive, towering mountains encircled with low lying clouds.
