Are all your twenty-something blonde role models in jail or rehab?
Strippers got too many clothes on and dancing too far away???
Have you finally had enough!!!
Then it’s time to put your worst foot forward, wake up your friends, put your funniest Doo Dah float
together and drag yourself over to the Doo Dah Parade, to send it all up and put some lunacy back into the ...well...lunacy.
Join the celebration on Wednesday July 4, 2007, at Park Street and Buttles Avenue, for line-up at Noon.
All the regular Doo Dah hangers-on will be hanging on...All we need is you and your biting sense of satiric
humor...

I just wanted to send you a short note expressing how much fun that Spin Columbus had at this
years Doo Dah Parade. You all really know how to have fun and it was an honor to have been able to share that with
you. Our positive reception from the community has been overwhelming to all of us in Spin Columbus from this appearance.
For you all at the Doo Dah Parade who invited us, we Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. We had a total blast
with this parade and look forward to becoming your official color guard for future parades. It would be amazing for
us to have this title and to be able to perform in this iconic event each year!
Thanks again Deb for having us. We are still getting feedback from onlookers who were at
the parade. And it has all been wonderful. We look forward to hearing what the theme will be next year and we
will be ready and wanting to spin out hearts out for you.
Thanks,
Kevin Seymour
Spin Columbus
Dear Kevin & all the Kids in Spin Columbus,
Spin Columbus was a complete joy to have in the parade. We were honored and

I officially dub you the "UnOfficial Official Doo Dah Parade Color Guard".

Hello Lovely Friends &
Lovers of Doo Dah!
What a parade!!! You were outstanding
on the 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone from InVolunteers to clean-up crew, from contributors to cashiers,
from parade watchers to parade marchers, from InSecurity to UnVolunteers, from ideas of floats to fruition of floats from
city crews to city officials, from the Police Department to the DisOrganizers, from the Pig Pen to the T-Shirt sales, from
drinkers to the port-a-pee's, from the Media to the Mayhem, from your heart to mine, it was overwhelming and the parade was
an overwhelming success. You should all be very, very proud of yourselves. I am proud of you.
The worst thing that
happened was the lightening and thunder complete with tornado warnings. But, we must thank our weather Gods and Mother Nature
for listening to our prayers to not rain on the parade. The rain did hold off long enough for the last entry to round the
last corner. Then the sky cracked open and cried with joy of how we had United in Doo Dah!
I am so sorry that
I had to make the executive decision to cancel the Awards Ceremony. I realize that it was kind of anti-climatic after being
so high with joy and laughter. The weather was way too ferocious to have the DisOrganizers outside running around picking
up ballots, or have the Less-Than-Honorable Judges walk in from the route to the Judgment Table, or to have you standing outside
in a lightening storm. It was best for everyone's safety. That was the bad part of Chair this year. It made me
very sad.
Hey, so what? It gives us a great reason to get together again this weekend! Let's meet up at the Short North
Tavern at 3:00
p.m. on Sunday. We can look at pictures for a little while, have a cocktail and then make the announcement and
hand out awards! If you can't make it, no problem! We'll do it live on the web-site at the same time!! Wear your costume
if you want. I will.
You entertained and cracked people up. Every single person with whom I've spoken to said
that this year was absolutely the best & funniest in 24 years. I'll get further confirmation from Lt. Barth, but the crowd
calculation from the Dispatch said 15,000 viewers! You're a star baby!
Pictures are coming in faster than I can post.
Thank you!! Send more please. We had over 2,000 hits on www.DooDahParade.com in 2 days!!!!!!!! I will continuously be adding links to photo albums for
your entertainment. Keep watching the photo page and links over the next few months.
If you had something or anything
to do with the 24th Annual Doo Dah Parade, be proud. And, I thank you.
Our T-Shirts sold like hotcakes! We're basically
out, and even before the parade had started! We have a dozen small that I'll bring Sunday. We will also be taking
orders for reprint. Soo there will be an order form under the T-Shirt page.
Also, the Thurber BP may have a few shirts for sale there.
Looking head, the 25th Annual Doo Dah Parade? It will be
on Friday, July 4, 2008! We have BIG plans in the works for our Silver
Anniversary. Can you believe it? A quarter of a Century of Doo Dah!
Also, mark Sunday,
October 7th, 2007 on your calendar for the Friends of Doo Dah's "Short North Urban Croquet". More details at a
later date.

Hello Lovely Doo Dah Friends & Lovers & the Media!
The Doo Dah Parade DisOrganizers are proud to announce the 2007 Slogo contest winner. Josh McCullough!!
Josh McCullough's original submission was right on target with the required specifications of the contest.
Since Doo Dah has to DisOrganize things, we made changes. Josh made every change to perfection with no complaints.
He even took the cow-bitch art, submitted by Robert Rudolph, and incorporated this into the design.
Currently Josh works with Ares Sportswear in Hilliard, OH (http://areswear.com/). Josh is a graphic magician and extremely easy to work with. We highly recommend him and his company for any
of your design & T-Shirt print jobs!
Attached is the winning art in poster format. Please feel free to share this with the world.

Historic Parade Declares – Make Doo Dah, Not War!
Cryptic messages from DisOrganizers encourage locals to,
“Get weird, bring us your floats!”
DOO DAH PARADE – July 4
(PARADE RAIN DATE – July 3)
(Columbus) The nearly historic DisOrganizers of the 24th Annual Doo Dah Parade have opened the gates of
opportunity to all local artists, rockers, beatniks, poets, politicians, weather-persons, residents, observers, potential
celebrities, dog-lovers or interested parties to participate in one of the nation’s greatest, and oldest, continual
Fourth of July parades.
“It’s only two months to DOO DAH!
Those citizens brave enough to declare their allegiance to oddity, wave the flag of freakdom, and who can afford to
pimp out their automobile into a sweet, yet relevant float for the parade,” said Doo Dah ChairChick Deb. “This event is among the finest cultural occasions of the year, and we expect a record crowd to celebrate
all that is artistic, sarcastic and at least marginally witty. We also hope that
thousands of adoring fans will turn out to recognize the significant contributions of our Less-Than-Grand Marshal, Mike
Harden who has delighted generations with his sage-like observations and commentary.”
Those
who want to express the fullest in DOO DAH can do so by just showing up because there is no entry fee, create a float,
march and dance, volunteer, see old photos of those Marching Fidel's, Batman, etc., or even DONATE to keep the DOO DAH tradition
limping along for one more glorious year, can visit us at: http://www.doodahparade.com/ … (yes, we’re aware the site doesn’t all work, and no we’re not responsible for the linked
photos… TOO RISQUÉ!).

Howdy Folks! The 23rd Annual Doo Dah Parade was way too much fun!
It's taken months to recover enough to be able to sit down and write. Everyone was completely AWESOME! I've
seen videos and and heard stories. What I keep hearing is there was so much "funny stuff and I couldn't stop laughing!"
Now I could write at nausaum about it all, but, as I say, a picture tells a 1,000 stories, so below are new links from
July 4th, 2006. Enjoy and we'll see you on July 4th, 2007!
THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF DOO DAH HISTORY!

It was great seeing you newbies & oldies!!
"Throw everything you ever knew about political correctness, social norms or decency out the window.
Eccentrics, protesters, the sexually unrestrained and just plain wack-jobs come out of the woodwork to attain new levels of
free expression at the Short North's annual Doo Dah Parade. With First Amendment rights (arguably) going down the crapper,
wars raging in the Middle East and an upcoming presidential election, expect a stronger than usual representation of the ridiculous.
Awards go to the best and worst costumes and anyone can participate. Just show up at Goodale Park by noon. Put on your clown
face, dress like a hoodwink, and become a part of the preposterousness." -- Nicholas Gill (AOL
City Guide)
