Our girl is a grown up Partridge and an L.A. Lawyer, but is apparently down on her luck here as she is now a single mom looking for a cheap group home for herself and her son. All she can afford is a small suite in a beach flophouse near Echo Park where she must share expenses with a former great classical composer Tom 'Amadeus', and an Austrian body builder and Arnold wannabe (Michael).
In this house everyone has ambitions and goals, so the three adults become fast friends and help out each other and with the boy`s upbringing. Susan is elated to land her first professional entertainment gig: as a birthday stripper, causing a rift with Mozart, who has secretly fallen in love with her. After recriminations on both sides, they make up and truly acknowledge their love for each other, much to the joy of Susan`s son.
Everyone realizes his artistic goal and is happy in the end.
Trivia: cameo by Richard "Cheech" Marin. Co-star Michael`s pumpitude would later come in handy when he worked as an enforcer for evil James Spader in Less Than Zero; too bad he wasn`t so big in Valley Girl, or he might have beaten up Nicholas Cage instead of getting his own b*tt kicked. Also, Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones was a musical consultant.
